Outshine Terms of Service

Last updated: June 24, 2026. These Terms govern your access to and use of Outshine, an AI career copilot operated by Micavo.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Outshine, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating or updating your profile.

3. Meeting Recording and Consent

Outshine lets you record audio from meetings, which may capture the voices of other people. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and your organization's policies regarding recording conversations, including obtaining consent from other participants where required. You must not use Outshine to record a meeting where you do not have the right to do so.

Micavo is not responsible for your decision to record a meeting or for how you use any transcript, summary, or coaching output generated from it.

4. AI Meeting Analysis and Coaching Disclaimer

Outshine provides informational AI-generated transcripts, summaries, and coaching suggestions. It is not professional career counseling, HR, or legal advice. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your situation, and is never a verified factual record of what was said or of any participant's intent. You are responsible for evaluating any suggestion before acting on it.

5. Permissions

Outshine requests microphone access to record meetings and may request notification permission to alert you when coaching is ready. You can manage microphone and notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Subscriptions and Purchases

Outshine offers a one-time, lifetime free usage credit for new accounts, and Pro and Premium yearly subscriptions with a monthly meeting-minute allowance, managed through Apple App Store systems and processed with services such as RevenueCat.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current billing period. Billing, cancellation, renewal, introductory offers, and refunds are governed by Apple App Store policies.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Outshine, including by:

  • Recording a meeting without the legally required consent of its participants.
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or bypass the app or backend systems.
  • Submitting unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing content.
  • Using AI-generated coaching or career-signal output to make representations about another person's intent, performance, or character as if it were verified fact.
  • Attempting to evade meeting-minute quotas, subscriptions, security controls, or access limits.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of the meeting audio, transcripts, and other content you submit or generate through Outshine. You grant Micavo the rights needed to host, process, analyze, display, and support that content for operating Outshine, including sending audio to third-party AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

Outshine relies on third-party services for authentication, cloud storage, AI processing, and subscription management, including Firebase, Google Gemini, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

10. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in the Outshine Privacy Policy. By using the app, you acknowledge that the Privacy Policy applies to your use of Outshine.

11. Service Changes and Availability

We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update meeting-minute quotas, plan benefits, model behavior, or supported integrations as the service evolves.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create risk for other users or systems, or if continued access would be unlawful or impractical.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Outshine is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Micavo is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for decisions you or anyone else makes based on app outputs — including decisions made in reliance on AI-generated coaching or career-signal interpretation.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date. Continued use of Outshine after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
